The best-known horse in France, the most loved and the most admired. The "lazy king" has his own style, gait and character. Ourasi won his first Prix d’Amérique in 1986. . It was a foregone conclusion. He repeated the win in 1987, and again in 1988. Then, in 1989, when everyone was expecting a fourth consecutive win, Ourasi finished only third. He came back the following year, at the age of 10, and put up a performance that made him the first and only four-times winner of the Prix d’Amérique.

Defeated in his first attempt in 2000, "Il Capitano" won his first world title in 2001. Spurred by this achievement, he went on to score one success after another, non-stop, throughout Europe. Surrounded by a highly international team, Varenne was THE horse of the 20th century. For his comeback in 2002, the worthy emperor of the world trotting scene scooped his second Prix d’Amérique. . Holder of the record for race winnings (more than 6 million euros), Varenne has since become a top class stallion.

Ready Cash has long been considered a crack performer. At the age of 3, he achieved the feat of winning three Group 1 races, assuming the position of undisputed leader of his generation. In 2011, then aged 6, Ready Cash posted the second best time ever in the Prix d’Amérique, in which he was up against the talented Swedish trotter, Maharajah. As a mature adult, he confirmed all the hopes placed in him and carved himself a definitive place in legend as one of the top French trotters.

Elle sera remportée par Ovidius Naso. Ceci explique la présence des trois noms au palmarès de cette année 1946 |
